I'm Van Patrick King.

I design positive experiences, visualize concepts, and drive projects through storytelling.

I’m a product designer based in Brooklyn, NY. I’m originally from Chicago, IL and have a slight addiction to the Aime Leon Dore Cafe, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and walkable cities. I like to design creative, thoughtful and assessable digital experiences.

What I Do: 

  • I apply human-centered design methods
  • I scope the target audience’s needs
  • I visualize ideas and concepts
  • I transfer research findings into new opportunities

About Me: 

I am a Product Designer with a journalism background. I am someone who is inquisitive, who loves a challenge & cares about people and their stories. I like things that are interactive and thought, and I love exploring new products and tools.

As a designer, I care deeply about ethical and empathetic design, and I aim to deliver the design solutions that guide people in positive way.  When I am not designing, you can find me traveling, working on my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game, or searching throughout Brooklyn for great restaurants.
